Sunday’s game was a return to the blowout, laugher Super Bowls that there used to be a lot more of during the institution’s first twenty or so years.
As a Niners fan, I’m feeling less worried about Wilson as a quarterback but more worried about Seattle as a team. Just a sense.
Kind of amazing that Seattle only blitzed six times. Seems way too few. I saw something about their claiming to have figured out Manning’s hand signals, which would actually explain a lot.
I liked the choice of Malcolm Smith for MVP; not enough defensive players get consideration for that award.
Have to admit I always liked the Seahawks colors, and they looked good in confetti form. Damn.
Joe Montana will probably still stay at the top of most lists of greatest quarterbacks of all time for a while longer, which he might not have if things had gone differently Sunday. Cool with me.
